Aashiqa and Stefan met at Andrews University in Michigan. The bride was in her freshmen year and Stefan was a sophomore. After dating for four years, the groom proposed at a restaurant in Bermuda the day after Aashiqa’s birthday. The couple married on March 18 at Toronto West SDA Church before 160 guests. A reception followed at The Vue. The modern chic event perfectly suited the venue and the bride’s Vera Wang gown, making the couple’s vision a reality.
Their favourite moment was during the reception when both families and friends joined together to eat good food, listen to music and have a great time. “I’ll never forget how happy we were and how much fun we all had,” says the bride.
Their wedding song, Beautiful Wedding Music by Roy Todd, was chosen because it was not the typical Here Comes the Bride. Says Aashiqa, “The song expressed the feelings that I felt of walking down the aisle and the sparkles in my eyes that I had seeing my husband waiting to take my hand for the first time.”
